Sunday Mornings - 9:30am - 10:30am
New Sunday School Program – Living Inside Out Starting on January 9th, our Sunday School will be starting a new program called “Living Inside Out” for pre-school age students through 6th grade. Similar to our VBS format, Living Inside Out will combine large and small group settings. The children will meet with their teachers at the beginning of each class, and then head to the gymnasium for the large group portion of the hour. There they will sing songs and do other activities (such as skits, dramas, and videos) together. Then they will head back to their classrooms where their teachers will have the Bible lesson and other activities that will drive home the lesson. Everything – the small and large group – will focus on one Scripture lesson each time and reinforce the truth of God’s Word through these different activities. This is a new program and should be an exciting and fun way for your children to learn about the love of Christ. There’s no need to sign-up…just bring your kids on Sunday mornings (room listings will be posted) and let them learn the love their Savior has for them!
Adult Bible Class – Book of Exodus Continued The Israelites have left the land of Egypt, but now what? Journey together with Moses and the Israelites through the wilderness back to the land of Canaan. Stand in awe of God’s power and marvel at his interaction with Moses at Mt. Sinai. Watch the Israelites rebel against the Lord with the golden calf, but be amazed at how the Lord shows his grace and mercy to his people time and time again. Learn about Israel’s worship life in the wilderness and how the tabernacle showed God’s presence among his people. Take a look at this next portion of God’s history and apply these lessons to your own lives.
Adult Bible Class - What in the World Is Going On? Identifying Hollow and Deceptive Worldviews This short book will lead us in the study of how the Christian faith fits into our present culture. We will look at different worldviews held by people today in the light of God’s Word. Topics such as homosexuality, marriage, family, philosophy, world religions, Humanism, Darwinism and Materialism will be described and discussed. This adult Bible study will begin on Sunday mornings in January with Pastor Kruschel.
New High School Teen Class – Christianity and Islam This video-based four part series (which we'll probably organize into eight sessions) aims to set forth basic and foundational differences between Christianity and Islam and the implications for how the adherents of each understand God, Christ, and the meaning of salvation. Muslim views are stated fairly and objectively by Muslim scholars who appear in the series. Each participant will grow in their awareness and appreciation of sound Biblical teaching as it is applied to the chief doctrines promoted by Islam, with attention given to how to witness to a Muslim friend.
