Sunday Morning Bible Study - Weekly at 9:30-10:25 AM

Beginning March 30, 2008

  • The Apostle’s Creed- Pastor Schroer
Commonly used in the Christian Church for centuries, the Apostle’s Creed is a simple summary of our Christian faith. We will look at questions like: “What is a creed?” and “Why do we need creeds when we have the inspired, errorless, Word of God?”

  • Letter to the Hebrews- Pastor Kruschel
We continue our study of the letter to the Hebrew Christians of the First Century AD. Many of the challenges that faced those Christians, face us today as we strive to hold on to the priceless treasure of Christ. There is no need to have attended the previous study to join this one.
  • Childcare is provided in the kindergarten room on the upper level during the Bible study hour for those too young for Sunday school.

Teen Bible Class - Sunday Mornings at 9:30-10:25
  • Teens grades 8-12: “Demolishing Strongholds”, a DVD supplemented course, will help teens to develop a truly biblical world view, train them to stand for truth in a culture of compromise, and equip them to truly understand and apply the teaching of God’s Word.

  • Sunday School - Weekly at 9:30-10:25 AM
  • Parents of children age three through seventh grade are encouraged to faithfully send their children to receive the wonderful blessings through the gift of Sunday school. Three changes have been adopted by the Board of Youth & Family for the 2007-2008 year…
  • #1 The seventh graders will join the Youth Bible Class.
  • #2 Grades 3-6 will experience a new format somewhat more like VBS. They will be taught the lesson, music and activities by different leaders.
  • #3 Finally, the preschool and kindergarten will be together under the leadership of Jeff & Julie Lillo.

  • Weekday Bible Classes
  • Tuesday Mornings MOMS - All moms, with or without children at home, are invited to this Bible study which meets at Lutheran Heritage Village Community Center each week on Tuesday mornings at 8:45 AM. Babysitting is provided. They are currently studying the book “The Excellent Wife.”

  • Wednesday Breakfast Bible Class, 6:30AM - Join the ongoing joint Bible class with members from St. Paul’s and Grace, St. Joe that meets at Lutheran Heritage Village. A continental breakfast is served. The current topic of study is “Fruit of the Spirit” with Staff Minister Kaiser.

  • Wednesday Bible Hour, 10:00AM - This Bible class meets every Wednesday in the rear of the church for one hour. They are currently finishing a study of the book of “Matthew” as it culminates in Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension.

  • ”Paul – The Apostle”, Wednesdays, 7:00PM - What were our forefathers thinking in naming our congregation “St. Paul’s?” Did they choose Paul because they shared his fervor for mission work? Was it because they so valued his divinely inspired writings? Let’s learn why St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran is a great name for our church. Class begins on Wednesday, April 9th.
